Here is the press release from the Spindrift Racing team. The team are set to challenge the Jules Verne record (Weather windows permitting) it looks like the team will be on standby from May for the attempt after they complete their refit. Optimisations include a new mast which is about half a tonne lighter:

So that's the same record banque pop V holds? So... Same boat, new mast, new paint, new crew?

Yes it's the same boat. Spindrift have been going to great pains to try and save weight on the boat and operate with a smaller crew to save weight. It's going to be interesting to see if they can break the already excellent record. Loick Peyron's motto on the last Jules Verne trophy was "Fast but not furious" I guess it's all a matter of how hard they are willing to push and having reasonable weather. Last time BPV ran into some bad weather in the Southern Ocean which slowed them down a bit but their time to Cape Leeuwin was exceptional.
