    Brain,
You need to contact Southampton University (not Institute) - look for contact info for The Wolfson Unit, which did/does all the research within SU.

Oops - "BrIAn", not "BrAIn", although the two are obviously not mutually exclusive :)

    Hello,

I looked for the paper at the library and didnt find it there, the best way is probably to get in contact with Rina hq@rina.org.uk they should have some of their old papers.

Looking through the threads I see you enrolled in the YDS course a couple of years ago and I have been thinking of doing the same. Your interest in Southhampton would indicate that YDS did not or is not working out for you. Is that true, would you care to comment about YDS?

picture the scene in your living room on Christmas morning as your children
    open their old-fashioned presents.

Your 11-year-old son: "What the heck is this?"

You: "A spinning top! You spin it around, and then eventually it falls
    down. What fun! Ha, ha!"

Son: "Is this a joke? Jason Thompson's parents got him a computer with
two disk drives and 128 kilobytes of random-access memory, and I get this
    cretin TOP?"

Your 8-year-old daughter: "You think that's bad? Look at this."

You: "It's figgy pudding! What a treat!"

Daughter: "It looks like goat barf."

the reason i'm still hoping to be able to go to the institute is that, studying part time for years on end before knowing "enough" (whatever that is) is not thw right thing for me. As a father of three kids I have to work OR study, it's pretty tough to work in the envioronment that i do and spend all my precious free hours studying. That would ruin my marriage...

Also as I'm 33 yrs I'd prefer if I could start working (hopefully) when im 37 rather than 40+...

I'm currently having a break at yds, as I find that I have a hard time getting the hours together, the handdrawing takes a lot of time... so instead i spend my time reading and fiddling with maxsurfacademic/rhino. And spending countless hours on the net reasearching every technical idea that come up.

So how far along are you with the studies at YDS? Has the program been worth your time and effort thus far? Would you recommend it to others?
