Our structural unemployment has now reached such an extreme level that more than 50 million people across the Western world are not allowed to work. This unemployment has been malicious and intentional, the goal being to use massive, permanent unemployment to permanently depress wages and thus dull the inflationary impact of the banksters' excessive money-printing.

.

Why is it then that prior to the recession, employment numbers had been improving in the United States for several decades?:

and yet the middle class is down, wages are down, revenues are down, growth is stagnant, and the upper class is laughing all the way to the bank. Obviously there needs to be a shift in the tax burden and obviously there need to be policy shift which correct the situation. And blue collar crime is at an all time high. Banks are foisting off there losses on the public faster than people can manage to go broke.

It must be important- He's shouting. The guys a real pro.
So much showmanship which is netting him a couple of million a year.
He makes his money by selling what people want to buy.
Much like the investment banks which he and everyone else is so rabid about.
Is a AAA rating even possible on ANY dept derivative in a bubble market?

Every carny knows a mark.

well he's got a point about the bribery system of representative democracy being better served now that there were as much corporate money in it as possible. Clearly the corporate oligarchy's economic scheme is to bleed the country dry and clearly the crimes against the public are going unpunished.

I don't know Boston.
I own a business and I deal with businesses every day- they provide goods and services which people need and they provide jobs. I think they are the bedrock of our economy, not the villains.

Is there some upper tier of fat cats pulling strings somewhere?
If there is they don't effect me much.

Go back to some old foils?:

"Athenian techniques to prevent the rise of oligarchy:"

"Especially during the Fourth Century BC, after the restoration of democracy from oligarchical coups, the Athenians used the drawing of lots for selecting government officers in order to counteract what the Athenians acutely saw as a tendency toward oligarchy in government if a professional governing class were allowed to use their skills for their own benefit.[5] They drew lots from large groups of adult volunteers as a selection technique for civil servants performing judicial, executive, and administrative functions (archai, boulē, and hēliastai).[6] They even used lots for very important posts, such as judges and jurors in the political courts (nomothetai), which had the power to overrule the Assembly.[7]"

I hold the view that this downturn does not reflect the presence of systemic faults in the structure of our nation or any other.

I believe you.

The danger with " social movements " in times of stress is that they could encourage the growth of truly dangerous populist leaders advocating dangerous " them vs us " policies that could wreck prosperity. The present system is neither broken nor discredited, its the best system ever conceived to bring prosperity to the people.

It is without question that trouble shooting and a tune up of the system are required.

Health care, education, legal issues, copyright, infrastructure, ...take your pick, then insist that lawmakers tune up these competitiveness issues.

There are and they have, your debt level was slipped in making some rich you just dont know how far backwards you have gone whilst they were doing it Your household owes what USD100,000 to China/Japan and its more every day.
Allowing the road transport and all those other systems in the US that you all use that waste twice as much fuel as anybody else in the world either by no tax on it or low to no EPA regulations / no public mass transport etc have gotten you into the situation where the US is sending more overseas everyday than the US is earning ( not to mention the interest on that debt)
Selling bonds is keeping the country from not be becoming insolvent....( also like the EU China lends to you so you buy their goods) just so critical to keep the AAA rating.
Government spending will go down and taxes up to keep your head above water, that kills growth so you are not looking good

And Obama still finds the time for a camera opportunity to talk abot Libyia. The news of gadaffis death has barely travelled the world but hes up there spouting what needs to be done before any one else can,-- even before the Libyan PM.

He said Gaddafis death marks the end of a long and painfull rule ---you dont say!!!

Wow,-- words to hear eh, some one should right that down, unecessary garbage.

There is something disturbing about this, who does he think he is. Why does he think he needs to.

Has he the time for this,-- like we all need to hear what he has to say and take guidence as dumb peasants sitting in fear cross legged at his feet.

This is Americanism, this is exactly the stuff that make Americans unpopular,--if you did'nt know. At least let the Libyan leader speak first eh? Get down of that high horse, just under the camers veiw your horse is knee high in ****, and is crumbling under the weight of misplaced superiority.

He annoys me. Hes got this all wrong. He obviously doesnt think the debt is embarrassing in the slightest as he talks with thet look to the left and right. There is no one to the left or right its an empty room.

This unemployment has been malicious and intentional, the goal being to use massive, permanent unemployment to permanently depress wages and thus dull the inflationary impact of the banksters' excessive money-printing.

The game is actually simple, while the bankers and those on top enjoyed all the benefits of their inflation via the printing press, those on the bottom make 100% of the sacrifices through permanently depressed wages (for those lucky enough to have any job at all). What makes this hideous reality a "crime against humanity" is that our governments may have always had the capacity to end this unemployment any time they wanted - at zero cost to themselves (i.e. us).

For 200 years, improved technologies have eliminated labor faster than it has created new employment opportunities. And for nearly 200 years every time that structural unemployment had became a problem, our governments shortened the work week. This divided-up all the available jobs among the whole population, until our current generation of Western governments ceased to do this deliberately creating all of this hardship and misery to exclusively benefit those on top....... .

Some more "Food for Thought" for your digestion

Research found that 147 companies formed a 'super entity' within group, controlling 40 per cent of its wealth.

A University of Zurich study 'proves' that a small group of companies - mainly banks - wields huge power over the global economy.

The study is the first to look at all 43,060 transnational corporations and the web of ownership between them - and created a 'map' of 1,318 companies at the heart of the global economy.

The study found that 147 companies formed a 'super entity' within this, controlling 40 per cent of its wealth. All own part or all of one another. Most are banks - the top 20 includes Barclays and Goldman Sachs. But the close connections mean that the network could be vulnerable to collapse.

Seems that the Bankers may actually "Really Own and Control" the real economy after all.....:?:

That was kind of you, but she has already seen it - she was the one who showed it to me first.

I actually met the cause of the GFC a few months ago.

We had a woman from the USA working in our office - she said that she bought a house in the US, and when the property prices started dropping, she did like all her neighbors did - just dropped the keys off at the bank that held the mortgage, and dared them to declare her bankrupt, as she had no other assets.

Well, the rest is history now. At least I can claim to have met the cause of all the worlds financial problems.

Now they have made a film about the GFC !

"Sam holds the fate of the company in his hands. He has to rally his brokers to dump millions of dollars of now-worthless paper in order to save his employer. And his own job.

Never mind that in so doing he will lose a bit of his soul.

In writing and directing "Margin Call," Chandor really did his homework. The Wall Street milieu he has created feels dead on: The profanity, the machismo and the moral expediency resonate and feel frighteningly casual.

Chandor's film goes a long way toward making understandable - in vivid, cinematic terms - what exactly happened to make that first big domino fall over. But it also goes a long way toward making something else understandable, and that's the small ethical compromises that were necessary to set up those dominos in the first place."
