    Hi
As we plan to build a solar catamaran, I had to do many search to be sure this idea isn't preposterous.
Here is a list of solar catamaran with more or less details. I'm personally interest at smaller/affordable boats as multi-million $ 60' Cat are not so interesting for inspiration.

-One of the most popular conversion (I think), the Indigo Lady: Indigo Lady https://lisamarchi.com/author/lisamarchi1020/
-Well explained power Cat with good data, the electric philosophy: Electric Philosophy vs. Reality - Professional BoatBuilder Magazine https://www.proboat.com/2023/05/electric-philosophy/
-Few detail, but still nice compact Gemini 105: 100% Solar Electric Catamaran https://diysolarforum.com/threads/100-solar-electric-catamaran.84980/
-Incredible solar house Cat: Arkup 50 livable yacht | Arkup https://arkup.com/arkup50/
-Compact and nice soel yachts : Solar electric excursion catamaran for private and commercial applications https://soelyachts.com/synew/soelcat-12/
-Outrageous and large soel yachts: Models | Soel Yachts offers many types of solar electric vessels and yachts https://soelyachts.com/synew/models/
-Of course Silent yachts: ® OFFICIAL Silent Yachts | Solar powered yachts https://silent-yachts.com/
-Outrageous time 2: Innovation in Navigation- Electric Power Yachts | Sunreef Catamarans https://sunreef-catamarans.com/en/electric-power-yachts/

-Vapor ware: ZEN50 Solar & Wingsail Electric Catamaran — Zen Yachts https://www.zenyachts.com/zen50

So, is there other good solar power boat/Cat out there?
    Thanks

Just use a fresnel lenses to power some water steam engine, you can cook and desalinate water at the same time

Both CSP solar water steam and Stirling is more efficient per square meter than PV-Voltage regulator-batteries-inverter-phase switcher- 3phase motor

I can't skip solar collector for marine use . But don't know exactly where to use it.Fresnel is another thing to consider.

    Yes, of course.
    Too many to name.

This is a sun tracking-less static flat fresnel lense design, it only takes smaller fresnel lenses and the light redirected with aluminium foil pipes to a main concentrator lense right to the steam engine

However plain sun oriented fresnel lenses in calm conditions will do without much hassle

It only needs a condenser, its basically a compressed air engine closed loop system powered by heat, and it can be used a small rotary pneumatic motor

Most well design it depend on the purpose.Solar electric panel is weak power source. So you need big area .Folding/sliding support of panels is not bad idea.
Weak power need effective and light hull . Most effective will be foiler. How big is a living area sleeping berths number. Cost overall.

Wow! Big feat considering two 8kw motor, a 48V battery (25 kWh) and 10 kW of solar.
    Good find!

That picture is ridiculous, a solar steam engine is supposed to bring few knots when cruising in dead calm while that catamaran in the picture has wind and should be using sails instead that toxic batteries, panels, etc just obnoxious waste and environmental destruction

Is there an example of an actual boat powered by a solar steam engine? I ask because the original poster is looking for a "boat list".

Probably there are few of them built by people but nobody is selling them, that doesn't mean we shouldn't advertise and this comes handy for cruising boats in calm weather while also solar melted wax can power a steam engine too.

However one thing lacking in sailboats is rowing oars, with a crew rowing a boat can put 2-3 knots and these recreational boat catamarans should bring oars and sails only

    @Herreshock
Nothing about steam. Did you read the linked paper? Theyr efficiency calculation is wrong, the respective data are inconsistent and they earned 40 mW (Milliwatt) electric power. Did you understand the arragement of the 6 splitted mirrors? I did not. Sketches show only sun rays at angles belonging to morning, noon and evening. What about the other hours of daylight?

At sea level ir radiation is 1000W/m2 . Not bad . Question is how to harvest that energy . Heat collector + stirling or piston steam engine or steam turbine. Heat collectors are more efficient than photovoltaic.
