Small trimaran with Tornado/Nacra 5.8 center hull

This is how it looks with four of holes drilled. Just a mockup until longer bolts arrive.

The trampolines in place and tightened. Working with the rudder cross bar. Will cut it in half and add a ball bearing traveller&track in the middle, together with 8mm ball joints.

Had to use Sail Kote to manage to hoist the largest of the mains I have. The rudder system is ready and the self tacking jib track in place. Had to dump the Tornado jib as the foot was a little to long, using a F18 instead. Next step is to add an engine mount for the light 2.2hp two-stroke Suzuki.

Wondering where to place the dual extenders?
View attachment 210013

I was going to ask about this.

So you’ll have X2 but it looks like their length might exceed the span to the center drag link setup?

On a 40’ racing Cat I crew on, we have them about where you show in your photo using the same style quick release clips (we tape them up for extra insurance) but the rudders are joined with a singe cross bar, so the extensions just get bungeed down to the cross bar when the one side isn’t being used.

If they need to be longer, maybe make them telescoping so you can collapse them and bungee or clip them onto each half drag link crossbar?

Or do you have something else in mind like removing them and reattaching when your on either side?

That's why I think magnets could be quite useful in sailing.
Simply "use the Force."

At last Tripence is ready to launch. A few smallish details to fix, but she is sailable. Waiting for acceptable weather, now +6C, rain and 13 m/s. Hoping to test sail within a week, if weather allows before season ends.
