Diesel gensets

Could anyone please help me? I am looking for a10 - 15 kw diesel genset for my 34 ft. steel hull trawler yacht either air cooled or water cooled by way of a keel cooler and light weight.

G o to goggle and type in 10 to 15kw diesel generators. hundreds for sale--not cheap. why do you need that much power on a 34' boat?

 

Will be living on the hook and the wife and I love our creature comforts

 

A 5000 watt will run 2 tvs, 2 acs plus lots more for a thousand dollars. Propane for hot water, cooking, heat, and refrigerator/ freezer.

As mentioned thats a massive generator for this size boat. We had a 10kw on a 54' sailboat that ran three AC's, TV, Water maker, lights, fans, and a dive compressor at the same time. I doubt you need this much power on a 34' boat.

For comparison sake a 100amp service, which is what most houses have is the same as a 12kw generator.
