I was cruising the interwebs and found this, Coleman 400-Watt 12-Volt Land and Marine Wind Turbine-48400 - The Home Depot https://www.homedepot.com/p/Coleman-400-Watt-12-Volt-Land-and-Marine-Wind-Turbine-48400/204233177?cm_mmc=Shopping%7CG%7CBase%7CD27E%7C27-31_CONTROL%7CNA%7CPLA%7c71700000034238969%7c58700003946879296%7c92700031953709695&gclid=CjwKCAjwrqnYBRB-EiwAthnBFiGWsXYgY05bE-50-uv2-wFAGokNqQFxR15QDFyZkZpLoMCVuDd2-RoCwfsQAvD_BwE&dclid=CLqT5aDQptsCFdZCNwodU-kJmQ
Now what I was wondering would this be suitable to be installed on a C&C 25, she doesn't see a lot of use, every other weekend or so. She has very small electric needs even when in use so doesn't need much charging capacity. Wind speeds of 10-15knts are very common where she is moored ( on a ball so no shore power) the outboard has an alternator but I don't like running it just to charge the batteries.
The price seems right, but I'm concerned about creating more issues than I solved if I go ahead and install it.
Does anyone here have any advice on these super cheap wind generators.
