Simple power catamaran?

    You are probably aware of how hydrofoils have been used in some power cat designs ( google "hysucat"). Your ideas are somewhat different as to placement of the foils, and it does occur to me that the forward ones, even if they worked properly there (doubtful) would be out of the water at times, and might set up a pitching motion you don't want.

    Id like to memtion to you Richard that back in 2008 you were dead set against ply glass construction so safety and would build an cruising boat with west system yet promote your plans using this system. Re discussion on CSC 30. So there for if its for carrying people (and Ive built a CSC 30 modified that cruises Asia and pacific) and you fin ply glass no good then surely it would not be somethimg you should recommend. Although I can give west system construction the hearty thumps up az have been constructing boats using the system for 20yrs and many cruise the world.
    That said I came across a Skota the other week and found it a fair boat that would suit a pontoon or boat design that you are looking for well. They are light trailable and seem to handle well with a fair load of people.
