    Cool, I remember the last time they put the old Battleship Texas in dry dock down at Tod Shipyard in Galveston. This photo of it in Galveston was taken either before or after, I don't remember which.

    The Texas needs some dry dock time ASAP from what I hear.

    If they want to have it remain a floating museum, it is imperative that they plan for periodic dry docking to replace corroded parts of the hull. Otherwise just "land lock" it out of the water and be done with it. It would not feel as authentic but would be much easier to maintain.

    Wow! Lots of symbols floating about.

    The plan is to restore Averof to running condition so it can revisit historic ports of call. All is financed by shipping magnate George Goulandris.
