    The bottom of Challenger Deep has already been reached . . . .

    It has been done before, in 1960 in a vehicle built in 1953, Bathyscaphe Trieste.

    In the 60's men could dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench and fly to the Moon and return safely from both . . . :idea:

    WTF happened after that . . . . . . . :p . . . . . :?: . . . . . :p

    Oh well, it was the time of Woodstock, people thought everything was possible and just did it . . . :)

    I was just a kid then . . ;)

    Mr. Cameron--one tough smart Nova Scotian-- word is he is also tough to work for. However got to give the devil his due he has done some of the finest work in the film and marine scientific field.

    Good Luck to him--If he succees he'll join the ranks of some other famous Nova Scotians associated with the sea, First Solo Circumnavigator Joshua Slocum, Clipper Ship Champion Designer Donald Mckay, and of course Angus Walters of Schooner Bluenose Fame. All of these in one way or another has brought great pride and promotion to Nova Scotia, Canada, the United States including all lovers of the sea and our frail craft that challenge it. I say go for it James and may the powers that be guide you safely back.---
