Short Shafts

    Maybe they wanted to save money by using shorter shafts....maybe they were REALLY interested in close-quarters maneuvrability.....maybe they know something we don't.....

    Well, if you ran up onto something with that boat, the keel might save the propellers from getting trashed . . .

    . . . just my 2 cents worth.

    With the (rather small) rudders about 15ft aft of the props, I imagine steering could be somewhat ...err... dull - so regular grounding may well be a consideration!:D
    Unfortunately, I don't know the owner, so I can't ask how it handles...
