This link says that the new plan will be 30m/100' and will be VPLP. It also claims, from a solid source, that the RDR 2x winner was in fact sold to Francis Joyon.

"Finally, the news officially confirmed the sale of Banque Populaire VII ... without revealing the name of the skipper future. From a reliable source , it is Francis Joyon , holder of several oceanic records including the round the world solo and nonstop (57 j 13 h 34 min ) with its Idec trimaran."

Good news for Armel and Francis. It should reinvigorate Francis Joyon's record program as lately he must have been scratching his chin on how to keep a solo record as the current IDEC trimaran just isn't fast enough now.

The rumor mill has it that Armel's trimaran will be along very similar lines to his friend Fracois Gabart's currently under construction at Multiplast Ultime trimaran 'Macif".

It's interesting that the large sponsors are moving towards more solo Ultime type multihull programs and away from the crewed format.
