Looking at a prop for a 28' bluejacket with a 150 hp outboard. Still a little expensive at approximately $2000. This is an aluminum prop. Don't really care about the price if it delivers at the claims but just wondering if it [the prop] is that much better than a conventional 4 blade or a 3 blade prop. The boat is not a speed demon and cruises at around 12 to 15 mph. Before I get flamed for the 150 hp, the designer claims the boat is good with a 90 hp. Just looking for some input...

The Sharrow is designed to put more hp through a smaller wheel, i.e. a very heavily loaded prop. So think boats with 3+ 300 hp OBs hanging off the stern. Since I haven't seen any data and based on my CR set work and the TURBINA data, I think any gains are going to be application specific.
