SNAME is presenting a one day "Super Session" on ISO 12217-1 stability standards for power boats over 6 meters (~20 feet). It will discuss general concepts of stability and how to do the required calculations for all four exposure categories and options.

It will also address the parts of ISO 11812 cockpit clearance times required to qualify as an enclosed boat, Annex F flotation requirements, and the air inclining experiment.

ISO 12217 is one of the standards that can address the new ABYC H-4 standard and is required for boats to be exported to or sold in Europe.

This course is extensively updated from the first Super Session in stability given in 2014.

Sounds like a good seminar. Wish I could be there.
