Outboard Boat identification

Good Easter everyone.

I have just received a boat from an old friend but he didn’t know what it was and it doesn’t have any identifiers on it. The outboard motor is an old Johnson 1958 super sea horse 50. But the boat itself I’m completely perplexed. Any help would be great so I can get it back to working order pics attached thanks everyone!

I have no idea as to what make of boat you have, but she does look rather fine, and in pretty good condition really for 62 years old.
Have you tried starting up and running the engine yet?

 

We pulled the cover off the engine and all 4 cylinders have really nice compression.

I need a fuel tank and a battery but all looks really clean and pristine for the age.

Just trying to figure out the hull so I can see what we got to work with. I stripped out the bench and seats to get a good clean and wanted to see if the hull had anything going on in the stringers if it even has any

 

There are websites that cater to "classic" fibreglass boats, likely there are aficionados who will know what it is.

It does look like some of the old Glasspar boats. That engine may be worth money, since it sounds serviceable, and there is a market for the antique outboards in restored condition.

 

The only value in identifying the hull is if you want to restore it close to the original looks and condition.

Other than that it's just another fiberglass hull needing total replacement of any and all wood.

I second the motion to try FiberGlassics® - Index - FiberGlassics® Forums https://www.fiberglassics.com/glassic-forums It's possible someone there will recognize it since they deal with boats from the 50's up to the 70's. Looks a lot like a 70's era Spectra, but I thought they were all inboards. Probably not that. Post your photos on Fiberglassics.
