Gonna have to change mine to "hitter of old rusty boats with hammers". That's probably the most accurate description of what I've done professionally for the last 20 years.

That was my second choice, although I also hit old rusty trucks with hammers.

The amount of time I've found myself under some old boat in the driving rain in the travel lift slings under a deadline is probably only beat by the times I've spent crammed into a tiny void fixing some critical system. Usually on commercial boats that outlived their operational life span by a few decades, making me the abuser of old boats.

I can relate to that. I have spent most of my life cold and miserable or hot and miserable; all by choice. One of these days I am going to grow a brain. I heard they are useful.

Senior: >100 posts. As a newly designated senior member, just dropping junior would have been enough. At this point, senior is a participation award.

I was surprised to find myself to be a 'Senior Member' a few months ago. I didn't think I deserved it, despite having 'senior moments' now and then. Now, having that designation, I try harder to live up to it, by trying to not seem to be a total mor.., you know that word we're not allowed to write. It's funny going straight from being a junior, to being a senior, although I don't have the professional experience, or nautical education that would be expected / assumed to gain it. I just mess about in small boats on weekends and holidays, and have done so for most of my life. I did work for a small boat builder, and a ship repairer, but as a lackey following orders, as a fabricator, or fitter. - Maybe 'Still Learning' ?

How about "Full Member" between "Junior Member" and "Senior Member"
Or, if you want to go Latin, "Junior Member", "Plene Member", "Senior Member."

Although the prefix "Sen"=old, is Greek in origin. In Greek, it might be "Pleres" or "Pan", such as "Pleres Member" or "Panmember".

Senile - LOL. Full Member - full of what ? I was full on Xmas day. There's already members that are 'full of it'.
'Contributing Participant' ?
If someone joins, and does 100 messages of claptrap, they are automatically a senior ?
I feel a bit like a fraud being a 'Senior' already, I'm only in my 60's.
How about 'Respected Senior' when well deserved, and actually respected. Then 'Senior' can be any old (or young) fuddy duddy.
