I installed a helm riser and had some adhesive backed neoprene foam I used for silencing. It is really noisy stuff. :(

    Any advice on better options?

The riser is bolted to the aft cabin wall and the floating cockpit. All the squeak/movement is against the cabin wall when I walk on the floating sole. The sole does move some and will.

Spray lubricant along the parts that rub.

    Thanks for the reply.

    On two part paint finishes?

Wouldn't oil degrade it and look poor, too?

Wondering it it ought to be butyl now...

Maybe check out different lubes and find one compatible with the paint.

Maybe try that stuff they use to waterproof electronic cable fittings. It stays sticky.
I think it's silicone based but not in a spray. You would have to push it in like caulk.
    Still, you must verify compatibility.

    Stop the movement.
    More bolts to the wall
    Additional support under sole
    Or
Move away from the bulkhead so there is no contract to squeak.

maybe more bolts will help...they are not all in

I wondered if I was using the wrong silencing. Butyl would not squeak, but so messy.
