must be very light displacement to be supported on those slim hulls. Is their intent that the solar panels will drive the vessel? Not really feasible if that is the plan, it would be less costly just to burn fuel, the cost of the solar panels, the loss of usable capacity, and the small amount of usual power from the panels would not likely be a viable design. Even if you could get enough power out of the panels, it means there would be very limited speed and useful passenger/cargo capacity compared to cost to build.

Also, if it is meant for ocean going, very large wave would capsize it and it does not appear to have self-righting capability.

looks more like a cartoon than an actual design, might just be an artists rendering to get interest in the concept.

They have never built a boat... ever... But they somehow convince people to give them money.

 

This is the same company that designed a better, faster AC 72 than the one that will be racing in the next Americas cup... By moving to soft sails, and a schooner rig. Of course they haven't actually built it yet, but man are they sure it will be faster.
