    Please check this out new seahull boat mould was produced from sep in 2010 and so far 3 boats come off the mould first one was May 2011 took 8 months to get a second one, then got two off a million dollar oven and was the green and black one, starting to look good, will make a hydrofoil for it shortly, rides on the centre keel like a water ski, heres a link to see a video, its a lod yamaha two stroke 30hp,

    Are the hulls foam filled, sealed air space, or open?

    Foam Filled

    can be foam filled if wanted, as a standard i offer foam under floor in the cavitys, so it will only submerge, the deck os free draining and hand have acess to the inside of hulls to bilge it by hand bilge pump or place small 12v pump, if you want to fill it with the foam during molding process maybe can cut weight of hull down to around 150kg, as it strengthens the hull with the inner foam, theres alsorts of configerations it all costs and needs time to sort it, the materials we use is the UV proof ones that the best water tanks are made of, doing a karaka green one for a customer next week hes putting a 40hp etech on it as it is tiller but has E start and motor trim on tiller handle, also will be doing a 3m and 5.5m model this year

    Heavy?
    I know this has been a major downfall with plastic boats before

    And quite expensive compared to anything comparable I would look at as a dinghy.

    its competative already depends what its compared to,
    we can sharpen the price a little, my problem im not the manufacture, just own the mould,

    Are your boats also made from Roplene or another polymer?

    other polymers

    I am learning as we go, i see alot of options and are looking for consultancy in this area, will make it from what ever is specified by the buyer if the raw materials are in hand and if the manufacture agrees they can do it sucessfully

    If I converted the weight correctly, the website lists it as 440 lbs. Is that correct?

    Sure looks like it
    Like I said, pretty heavy
    @ 200kg its 100% + heavier than a tinny
    3.85 Vnosed punt = 92kg
    4.1 = 114kg

    114 sounds a little lighter, I like the faithful tinny, but you are right the plastic boats have had a problem with weight in the past,even a small 1 man kayack is 20+ kilo's.
