I'm going to take a look at a Seafarer 31 on thursday but I feel as if I'm going into this a bit light. Try as I might I've not been able to come up with very much about this boat. Even the seafarer research site is drawing a blank. I contacted a couple rebuilding a Seafarer 31 Mark 1 yawl, but since this is a sloop the information doesn't fully apply; unless its the same hull as the yawl... All I know is that she's a Brill Tripp designed '71 Seafarer 31, delivered hull only and custom built out by the owner. Does anyone have any experience with these boats or any performance predictions based on her specs (31 LOA, 25 LWL, 4' 6" draft, 8'10 beam, 9500# disp, 3400# ballast I was hoping to use her as a long term voyager)? Could this actually be a yawl with the mizzen missing?

The SRC website comes up lite on this model because I got all the information from McCurdy and Rhodes, and they didn't have any on the Bill Tripp designs :(

Check out the "Member's List" and find others with that same boat. Perhaps some of them have the original literature?
