Maybe wrap the boat directly in Tyvek. Well, just enough clearance for condensation on the Tyvek to trickle out the bottom.

 

Anybody know anything about heater control valves on an Astrovan?

 

I did some research.
Is it leaking?
Looks like the cores and the valves clog-up often.
Also, prone to vacuum issues, cracks etc.

Have you considered removing the core,
back flushing it, by-passing the valve, and replacing.

You'd have heat for the winter.
Either block off in the summer or remove.

Did you replace the lower rad hose already?

 

I'd like to bypass it, but it's the 6 port. I can identify 4 of the 6 hoses. The last 2 are mysterious.

 

All my wordwork has been disassembled and driven across town to dry in a friends basement. It was getting speckled with mold.

I'm in the low spot, so it would take a sandbag berm to keep out the streams coming from every direction. What I hope to do is epoxy coat the superstructure in about a week. Reinstall it. Put on the roof beams and roof, then put on a second tarp directly over the boat, and maybe tape that to the hull sides. I can work inside that double envelope until dry weather. Maybe.
Reality check please.

 

If you read back a ways, I told you to use 2" pink polystyrene to enhance the build and keep it drier.

 

I remember

 

It is relatively inexpensive and you can use it for flotation foam after winter season. Bury it under pour foam, or cut in sheets of it. It'll save you money on pour foam.
