I special ordered 10' x 4' 1/2" ply from Vancouver when I did my decks.
But that was 18 years ago...

The plywood plant tells me they won't be making any for months. COVID-19 delays. Their production is slowed, and they won't make any until they are caught up on 4*8 sheets.

And nobody has any in stock?

I can get a 10 by 20 piece of ½" osb as a single piece. OSB is hardly ideal, but might do sheathed in epoxy.

    Curved or flat?

Two 1/4" roseburg marine panels are nice. Stagger joins. Epoxy them together.

curved-built laminated timbers from 1/2" knot free timber

Curved. Flat would be unattractive. And hold water at some point.

    I'll have to scarf them.

PAR was suggesting ¼ plywood with foam between. No interior framing, just 1" framing between the sheets.

Okay, but then you have to build a mould. And as great as it sounds; wiring is easier with a gap.

mine will close with 4mm okume, but mahogany door skins would work as wel
