The cause of, and solution to most problems: add some throttle.

It looks like you stacked a 2x8 on a 2x6?

She shouldn't sneeze as long as there's enough power and speed. Tri hulls will sneeze under low power.

2x8 on a 2x4. 2x4 lays inside of planking. 2x8 on top. Give a huge contact area fortransfer of forces by shear.

Yes. I tend to drive by braille. I need a boat I can't break.
And that poor fellow with the ranger tug made a big impression.

    PAR

I'm looking for wheelhouse roof details, and I found some nice stuff over in DIY-woodboats.com

I get to the end, and it's by PAR. That guy left a heck of a hole in the world.

I can at least tell you what I'd do.

Yes, I used marine foam. But I also laminated the beams from timber which you could do easily. That affords some slope or curve to the roof. No curve is really hard to do and not have lakes up top.

And I used plywood as the bottom layer so I didn't have to glass the bottom and flip the massive roof.

Didn't PAR do some sea sled designs?

He wrote about them some. I don't think he did any himself.

And there is no 10' plywood to be had anywhere. Rats.
