I was thinking exactly that: port and starboard sensors. Should be adequate flow, but one thermostat not opening properly. Maybe. Thermostats are new.

Another conundrum for the smart guys
Had our little commuter on the grid the other day, scraping bottom, and changing prop.
However the new hub kit for the prop wouldn't go on, despite being clearly marked for the engine. '91 Johnson VRO 70hp. I could force it on about a ¼", but that's it. For a test, tried the hub kit for Serenity's 250HO, fit just fine.

    Always a challenge to trust
Can you heat it up to make it expand and slip on or is there a permanently bonded rubber component attached to splines?

never mind google just showed me that it’s bonded. Brass can be chewy metal if the splines aren’t flawless etc, if dish soap and water won’t help you can always leave the hub in the sun to warm it up and wrap an ice pack on the shaft and that might help it slip on.

    that’s what I would try.

I think that particular engine uses the large prop shaft of a 250.

Oh that’s certainly a possibility. Still weird the correct part won’t fit.

I could build a fleet of Serenity class sea sleds with the wood that is rotting away here.

Well at least they didn’t truck all that lumber from BC to the lower 48 to rot away in such a fashion.

Day 19 of consecutive 10-14 hours days. Very heavy labour, on ground made up of broken basalt. Johnny tired.
