Brilliant, "adequate technology", I like that. To reveal the flow and suspected recirculation forward of the leg and torpedo, we found the best (?) view to be about 30 deg elevation and something like 15 deg forwards, aiming at the area slightly above the torpedo from the side. If you can run over a light, sandy bottom, the boat bottom is like illuminated from below and bubbles along the hull bottom are easy to see, they are glittering with their surface reflections. And the (supposed) downwards bubble clouds will be seen as, well....just clouds.

Maybe the SeeSnake camera head is better rounded than the "cheapo" webcams we have used, if so, it is far less sensitive to bubbles beeing trapped around the lens fitting. That made it necessary for us to have the lens directed slightly fw, in order to "flush away" bubbles. Hope your snake can record the scenery!

Edit; Nice table btw, what wood species?

It's too old tech, so it won't record, but it is nicely streamlined. Unfortunately there are forest fires nearby, so my science team is staying inside for the day. Apparently "dying of asthma attack" is bad or something.

A photo like this is a very powerful reason for having a boat - any sort of boat - to go exploring such magnificent scenery.
I hope that you make the most of it John, before winter kicks in with a vengeance.

Water like glass. No wake to speak of. The icon pro tachometer reports fuel consumption of 1.1 US gallons per hour like this. But is engine reported fuel consumption accurate? It seems like it should be. The computer controls the fuel pumps. But idunno.

And our tidal grid has collapsed. Darn. Just another thing to build.
