Far enough back that the incomplete fairing job isn't obvious.

Hooked up the steering. Installing the cylinder was a slow job. Not a lot of space to get in the steering bolt from the cylinder to the tiller on the OB.

Todays challenge is wiring the engine. Like everything else I got from the vendor, the wiring harness is incomplete. So there's going to be some tracing of functions, and splicing/improvisation.

I was really surprised to learn the engine had datalines and a harness that were separate...fyi. The seller sold me all the harness stuff and no datalines!

A boatyard find. I need a tank to go in a 13" by 42" by 48" space. This badboy is 13" by 38" by... 48¼" . Literally ¼", 6mm too big. I had to saw off one end to get it down that ¼".

    Goes here...

The supposed complete rigging is missing a few bits. IMG_20220627_161715467_HDR.jpg IMG_20220627_132118829_HDR.jpg IMG_20220627_132305961_HDR.jpg

Getting closer. I'm going to clean it off, prime it and epoxy coat it.

Actually @Ad Hoc , I'm waiting for you and the rest of the forum crew to get here. Your guest bedrooms are ready, kayaks on hand, an entire second refrigerator full of cold beverages, wine in the adjacent cool room, hot tub cleaned, salmon ready to cook. All we need are the folks who have helped so much along the way. @bajansailor might be up this way, @jehardiman lives driving distance away, as do @Barry and @cracked_ribs . @BlueBell has stayed here before and his return is eagerly awaited. @fallguy is a ways off. Other good folks, you're welcome too, but I don't know where everyone lives.
