    The line takes the sails UP. You can PULL the sails down. You'll have a motor right? Do you have boating experiance?

    You can take them out with a socket set or wrench.

    Touche.

    Get the boat designed and built. You can add all the fancy extras later.

    i think now ill go for a cutter type thing,or a cruiser ,one that can go to sea,based on a shanty so that its easy to transport,and quite cheap to build.also i would like it to be double masted,but that doesnt matter AS much.

    yes - imagination is more important than knowledge

    but - Start with imagination, back it up with knowledge.

    start with a dingy, do a search for PDRacer.

    look at some designs by P. Bolger and other reputable designers.

    Learn to sail on protected water.

    When you move to a bigger boat, you will already have a tender.

    rember weight is a factor, boom tents have been around for a very long time, and people have traveled the world with them.

    but with it being a sea-boat,im not so keen on a boom tent.

    If you made a boom tent and put a 21st century twist on it with your imagination you could have a 2nd house!:p
