Salvaging an abandon boat as a base to build from

    Maybe the below linked 128' Shallow Draft Motor Sailing Oceanographic Research Vessel is something for you . . ? - But she's still for sale, and not abandoned yet . . .

    To make it worth to maintain her means she'll needs a purpose to serve, if the money for maintenance is not in stock then her employment should earn that, at that size she'll need quite a lot, and her earnings have to surpass those needs if you also want to live from it. However, she seems big enough for your plans, and ‘‘dock as cheap as I can’’ means you'll need shallow draft, I believe.
