Have been trying to decide what to build for my next boat, and I am looking at several ~8ft sailing Prams. My primary criteria are:

    1) The boat must be 8ft or less in length and easily carried/lifted onto on roof racks.
    2) Primary usage will be sailing with kids or 1 Adult (even 2 occasionally?)

Having spent many hours on the web looking at designs, I have short listed the following as designs:

    -The Eastport Pram

    -Nutshell Pram (7'7" version)

-Ian Oughtred "Mouse: or "Humble Bee"

I would be very grateful if anyone could comment on the merits of these designs as sailing dinghies, or if anyone has sailed these boats with 1 -2 adult crew.

    Thanks,

    Tim C
