    Predicting sailboat speed at given wind (practical)

    I have developed a simple fundamental mathematical formula for the connection between wind speed and boat speed. Derivation is quite straightforward. High accuracy quite surprising. One set of basic measurements allows reasonable predictions to a wide range of the applicable wind and other parameters. Several measurement sets allow quite accurate complete polar diagrams.

    Also, please refer me to any same, or equivalent, or very similar formulation that connects wind speed to sailboat speed. I could not find such.
