    Maybe this will help

    Material Density*(g/cm³) Tensile strength*(GPa) Elastic modulus*(GPa)
    Steel re-bar 7.85 0.50 210
    A-glass 2.46 3.31 69

    non impregnated strengh

Dont forget those list above is for non impregnated strength. after inpregnated with resins it will decrease their strength drastically, depends on resint type and fiber characteristic itself, most importantly their elongation ratio.

Last year I was helping my friend for his postgraduate thesis, one of his goal was determining possibility in using bamboo fiber. He compared on lab, Uni D E-glass with vinylester strength is 0.6 Gpa or 600 Mpa, that was more tensile strength than steel A36 which is 400-500 Mpa. Bamboo Uni D surprisingly outstanding, over 600 Mpa.(which i dont know the species and fiber extraction method)

Well I have the S glass in hand, forsure you can tell the difference just by feel. The weave is also very tight.I'm assuming this stuff won't work well as a top layer when infusing?
