    hi everyone,
I can not find the navy's ship motion program(SMP), where is it? can anyone send a copy to me? thanks. llmmhh@gmail.com

I also want to find out the theory of the background:

The theory for SMP is based on the very famous paper:
    SALVESEN, N., TUCK, E.O. and FALTINSEN, O.
"Ship motions and sea loads", Transactions SNAME, New York, 78 (1970) pp. 250-287.

but i can't find it, who can send me a copy of this paper?
    thanks

    Look at this page:
    http://oai.dtic.mil/oai/oai?verb=getRecord&metadataPrefix=html&identifier=ADA282341

You can download the manual from there, or better still, search for NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER CARDEROCK DIV BETHESDA MARYLAND. When you find the web page, find an email address and send them an email asking how to buy the program. It used to come on 5 1/4 floppy disks. The version I got was on those amazing 31/2 inch disks. Radical!

    Good luck!
    Leo.
