    Good day,

Could anyone help me find the source of this formula?

I am attempting to locate the source of a formula concerning ship efficiency or fuel efficiency, which is calculated as follows: mass of cargo transported (DWT) / fuel consumed, representing the mass of fuel consumed per ton of cargo transported. While this formula is often associated with CO2 emissions in publications, I am not specifically considering CO2 emissions.

Does anyone know where I can find this information?
Or in some researches or books?
    Best wishes
