The easiest approach would be to cut off the small, damaged trailing edge corner, seal (epoxy), sand/taper, paint. Questions:
    - Would the slightly altered new shape disturb water flow enough to cause noticeable vibrations at higher speeds?
    - Is it worth the effort to do a proper reconstruction of this small area?

    Thanks for any IMG_6012.jpeg IMG_5822.jpeg IMG_5819.jpeg IMG_5822.jpeg IMG_5821.jpeg

    Welcome to the forum Tom.
Which boat? Any signs of water intake in the main body of the rudder?
How fast do you plan on going? :)

    2007 Hunter 38.
No signs of water intake in main rudder body.
Max hull speed is just under 8kts ; typically never exceed 7kts
    Thanks for the reply

It isn't a huge amount of work to do it right and if you do,the chances of noise or vibration will go away.Which means you don't have to do it next year.
