Thin ship theory for catamaran design

    Leo Lazauskas and E. O. Tuck published several papers on the drag of multi-hulls using thin ship theory. Leo formerly was an active participant on this forum but has not been seen for several years. Previously several of his codes were readily available. E. O. Tuck is deceased.

    The Lazauskas/Tuck model calculated the wave pattern from each hull indepenently without accounting for the presence of the other hulls. The wave patters from each hull were then added to calculate the total drag, taking into account the interference effects of the multiple wave patterns.
