awww come on? too subtle? no surely... OK try this...

A man ran into a 711 and pulled a gun and shouted "All right you mother-stickers, this is a ****-up!" There was a minute of silence before the man ran back out.

Ya know the old Riley blocks and tracks & stuff. Like Ronstan only I think they went broke but I am not really sure about that.

"Rings a bell" but outa touch too much over the years.... Living on remote tropical islands makes keeping up to date somewhat difficult...:D

    Meanz Beanz,

I think they may still be going, they were in Kogarah area in Sydney. Try asking the sailmakers, they tended to use the fittings more so than most sailors. Their shackles and highfield levers were very good.

Let us know how you go.

I think I saw a picture in the local paper last week of a 16' skiff with "Riley" sponsorship signage, I live nearish the area that Lubber has indicated & have just looked in my Ph. directory & found their Yellow pages 2008 listing- in Hurstville, Riley L W pty ltd (02) 9546 3406 or 9546 3086, maybe they have evapourated under but would be worth a call on monday. All the best from Jeff.

Good one waukikin, I though they were still alive and kinking. I have been to their factory, I used to own a very large Chandlery in Brisbane, and dealt with them, funny sort of joint, old and dirty, but real workers just the same. Very clever old fella that set that up.

    G'day guys,

Yes Riley Marine Fittings are still going. My grandfather is old Bill Riley who started LW Riley. He has retired from running the company and now my uncle (young Bill) is now running it. The photo in the local paper was my skiff in the Botany Bay Championship.

The phone numbers listed above are still correct so give them a call

If you have any problems let me know via email (jack at skiffs.org.au) and I'll see what I can do.

    Cheers,
    Jack Andrew
