I am relatively new at this, but am seeking opinons on pro's/con's of both transom hung and through-hull rudder systems. The project is a flybridge cruiser with a cruising speed of approx 20knts, weighing 12T, 43' Hull Length, and 15' Beam. Could you please offer some opinions as to the characteristics of each system.

    Thank you for any feedback

    Transom hung is simple.
Through hull can probably be smaller because you have the hull above and not the free surface, a bit more efficient.
