The Architect’s Apprentice, by Gary Schwarzman, published 1998. It’s the story of the design and construction of a wooden sailboat. I think the professionals here may be bored with it, but for those thinking of having a costume boat built, or building one yourself, this is a straight forward story of what it takes. It’s an easy read and I think you will like it. If you can’t find a copy, you can borrow mine.
