    Hello.

I am looking for a tool(s) that could be able to predict the required engine power for displacement/ semi displacement and planing boats?
I have seen spreadsheet for planning boats from Dingo. But I can imagine it is only valid for planning boats.
Could you please help me regarding this?
I also have no access to this paper `The Prediction of Power Performance on Planing Craft` by Hadler. Does anybody could provide it to me?
    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers,

This is an old time nomogram that works well:

    Displacement hull

    Gonzo ,
Thank you so much for your help.
Do you have a spreadsheet (or any other useful tool) for displacement hull that I could you it to check my result with that?
I used this graph and also the excel sheet of Dingo but it is not accurate.

    Thank you.
    Cheers

I have been using these calculations to play around with a boat I drew up recently. It is a planing hull, but there are displacement and semi-displacement calculations in here as well:

I was actually just going to start another thread on this when I saw your post. I'll still do a separate one so as not to confuse the discussions.
