Replacing foam buoyancy CL16 dinghy

Thanks for the replies. The boat is back together. I did use the 6 pound poor foam as it is structural (supporting the cockpit sole and adding rigidity to the hull skin)and hopefully it’ll absorb water more slowly.

Flange added to reattach bottom panel of hull. You can also see plywood partitions to keep the foam in place and create a narrow bilge and any water therein off the foam,

replaced panel ground out for tabbing in and gel coat removal for blister remediation.

assemblies held on with ratchet straps that enable the boat to be turned over, single-handedly. The boat is tipped on its edge, so the foam can be poured down into the lowest narrowest point and fill upwards.

seven coats of interprotect and sanding smooth. The last coat was white, and the red is a marker dye for sanding.

antifoul to 400 grit. (she’s going to spend 12 weeks in the water)

I real realize the pour foam is a poor choice, but that was the way the boat was built and putting it back together any other way would’ve been very difficult.
