Printing with freeship

Hello,

I am in Freeship in plan view with a 23' hull.
I am trying to print some parts of the view at a scale of 1/12 (i.e. 23" long) to get waterlines patterns for a model.
If I just press "print "entering the 1/12 scale just before printing, my printer prints only the middle 10½" of the view.
Is there a way to print parts of the plan view?
I have tried to use a longer piece of paper but somehow I don't get the printer to accept the custom format.
I tried to move the plan view to the side but that doesn't help either.
Any ideas?
