Forward Mast for river barge

    Hi everybody,
    I'm preaparing river type deck barge and I have to design and decide a forward mast which shall have counter weight and mechanism to lower and rise by hand. Is there anybody have information or some picture and drawings?

    Is it a sailing barge with a mast on a tabernacle?

    Mr. Gonzo,
    thank you for your reply. This barge is going along a river. So sometimes it's going to be so difficult passing under small bridge. So our customer wants a mast shall have counter weight and mechanism to lower by hand.

    It depends on many things. For example, how strong the deck is at the attachment point, if there is standing rigging or not, height of mast, lenght of free deck space, etc.

    Hello again,

    Deck plate is 10 mm, free deck space approximately 50 m² and mast heigt is 6 m.
