Not only are these 2 videos some of the most exciting foiling footage ever, these LUCKY kids are being groomed for the America's Cup:

As exciting as this will be for some kids, the USA is not one of the stops and that is very unfortunate! Pictures and text below from www.catsailingnews.com :

" I've been informed that the Youth RB Series Foiling Generation will be only for youths living in the countries where the events are going to be held.
I really don´t get this decision and it is quite far away from the --- “We are looking for the world’s best talents”, said Red Bull Foiling Generation sports director Hans Peter Steinacher, inviting the new generation of sailors to take a step forward.--

No NED, GER, US, NZ or Australian, not even of course Arg or BRA youths will be allowed to participate this season.
Not even Belgian Henry Demesmaeker can enter, so clearly we are not talking about the best young sailors.
To me this is a real fiasco from the organizers. What a better chance to do the same they did with the AC45s?
You ask for sailor's CVs. you make a first filter and then you let race only the best no matter from where they came from. Selecting the best sailors should be a must to race the FPs in every aspect as for instance her in Arg I can set up at least 4 experienced youth crews in the 21-24yrs old., 20 and below I can only think of one with experience and talent to handle a race in this series.
I also confirmed that rules and limitations are RB sole responsibility
In 2015 You can only "step forward" if you are up to 20yrs and have one of these nationalities" :

    Foiling Generation

From Scuttlebutt tonight: http://www.sailingscuttlebutt.com/2...term=New series for outstanding young sailors

A new series will be launched in 2015 for talented sailors aged 16-20 to race the 18-foot Flying Phantom, an innovative foiling catamarans capable of reaching speeds of up to 35 knots.

Olympic champions Roman Hagara and Hans Peter Steinacher are organizing the Red Bull Foiling Generation, which will have four brand-new flying boats and regattas in seven countries.

“We are looking for the world’s best talents,” said Red Bull Foiling Generation sports director Hans Peter Steinacher, inviting the new generation of sailors to take a step forward.

The Red Bull Foiling Generation starts in 2015 with seven events in Japan, the UK, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Russia and France. The winners of these national competitions will be invited to the world final in late 2016 to compete but not merely for glory and honor.

The format will be that of knockout races, a new modus for sailing, but one which promises a lot of excitement for both athletes and spectators. With four boats at the start of every race, each distinctly marked with a colour, either, red, yellow, blue or grey. The top two teams automatically advance to the next round, while the losing pair get another shot at qualifying with a lucky loser round. The draw will be further reduced in the quarter-finals and the last four, with the winner in the final crowned national competition winner.

Right before every event, sailing heroes Hagara and Steinacher will introduce the young sailors to the art of foiling and coach them.

“We are offering outstanding young sailors a unique career path starting on foiling catamarans in the Red Bull Foiling Generation, the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup and the Red Bull Sailing Team competing in the Extreme Sailing Series,” said Hans Peter Steinacher of the fantastic opportunities offered by the new series.
