Vacuum Resin Infusion

    Hi all
    Just wanting to confirm that it is possible to use the vacuum infusion technique with a glass-foam-glass hull sandwich? Some sources give me the impression that foam can only be bonded to fibreglass on one side. Don't worry Im not about to go buying materials for a couple of years yet, but this does seem absurd.

    What sources are you quoting as to the one side thing ? I would be interested to see them, as they may be talking about some specialist application.

    No... Either side or both at once is possible, whichever you prefer and depending on what method your using to hold the foam in place ie type of mold etc... Both sides at once is preferred -less work.

    Doing both side at once would be ideal, but I can imagine the potential problems of setup and support.
