2HP inboard prop needed

I need an prop for a 2hp inboard I am building. Nothing fancy just a solid clockwise prop. I will fit the shaft to the prop.

 

for 2hp can it be plastic? what about trolling motor props ,by the way ,,with a name like that ,,are you coonass too?

 

Yes I am a coonass. I live in Mississippi where I get called a coonass and when I go back to LA I get called a Redneck. So I am either a coonneck or a Redass. As for the prop no it cannot be plastic. SS or bronze but no plastic. I will be building a pirogue with the prop going out of the back of the boat instead of out the bottom. With this design you can move to the front of the boat and lift the prop out of the water so the boat can then be paddled.

 

I fished out of leesville for 5 years, how about that weed eater thread? for power,,, most dont know what a pirogue is (,,, pea row)SMALL FLAT BOTTOM CANOE?,, for gettin around usually powered by a pole,,and gator huntin for the brave,,,,good luck ,,,,, longliner

 

Hey Coonneck, start looking at RC boat props. The company Octura makes a whole bunch of different types. There are more RC boats than just tunnels and hydros. There are also large scale tugs and the like. A prop for one of these should work. You get a choice of plastic or beryllium copper, too. Get in touch with a RC boat prop guru at one of the big hobby shops and tell him what you are up to and I'll bet he can reommend one to save a lot of trial and error purchases.
