A bit late to be getting back to that bus, but it seems that the original headline was in error. The article calls it a sled and talks about the bumpy ride. Kach, I think a true hovercraft would be a lot better for that application. Half a million for 18 mph top speed and a bumpy ride? You and your buddies should be able to top that. Of course, since it's a government grant, you must ask for more money if you promise better performance. They wouldn't think you're a real expert if you ask for less. :D

It is in ERROR. I contacted the operator of the craft via e-mail, he is trying to get over that bad flu going around. It's a Windsled dummy in nicer words.:D

A hovercraft would of cost them a little more perhaps, but faster, safer and year round use.

I gave him the links below should they ever have to replace the Windsled.

Warning: Do NOT overload your boat............unless you really have to.;)

We drilled a hole in the bottom of the boat and let it fill. The boat has built-in solid foam flotation to keep it afloat in the event of damage.

The 26 is self righting with the water ballast tank filled. This means that the boat will return to an upright position after being pulled over on its side with the sails in place.

Gee Manie, they are the ones you cannot wear in the water - they dissolve when wet!!! - those ones are for the bedroom, made of sugar so you can lick them off.... :D

Karch, I hope they took the engine and batteries & electronics out before trying to drown the rats... that power boat with the bathing beauties is a 34 footer, I counted them...
