Sam, here some solutions, trust them, they're engineers . . .

(though it could be they're just like the ones who designed and constructed the original building, and beforehand investigated the soil underneath ?)

‘‘ This ‘boat on wheels’ is definitely not seaworthy. The Turin bodywork manufacturer Coriasco built this striking Fiat 1100 based vehicle in the 1950's to make publicity for a sailing school in Bologna, the Scuola Nautica Scarani. Coriasco applied all sorts of nautical details to the car, such as portholes, lifebuoys and a varnished wooden deck; the mudguards represent the water and waves. ’’

Yes. Thanks, Angel. Still can't get narrow boats out of my head. Will be thinking of them when I turn a van into a stealth camper. :)

Now I'm thinking Jolly, an Adult Voyage - Galveston to Pensacola, onboard the Oliver Hazard Perry, what's that . .

Besides, that's a huge fender you've got there, bought through Alibaba ? - They sell everything nowadays, including tankers . . :)
