Only a couple of people on the beach, even the budgie outside window was lonely and wanting some company.

Feadship 'Symphony' (project 808) is the largest superyacht ever built by the Dutch yard. She left the Kaag yard on Thursday and reached her final destination of Rotterdam harbour mid-morning today.

The 101.5-metre superyacht only just squeezed through the Juliana Lock in Gouda. The lock was widened to 14 metres in 2013, providing just enough space for Project 808’s 13.8-metre beam to pass through. Crew were on hand with makeshift protection in the form of thin carpet-covered boards, as traditional fenders were too big.

Boats navigating aquaducts over road systems are not uncommon in the Netherlands, although cars driving underneath the A12 (The Hague-Arnhem) were treated to a rather special sight on Saturday.

Some more usage of the above mentioned makeshift protection for Feadship's Symphony while leaving Holland . .

People seem to live in small houses over there . . . ;)

Symphony is in Sabia in Italy now (June 29, 2015) together with Ester III

Ester III: is all the furniture bolted down, or flying around when gets tough . .

700' ship, maybe twice that between wave crests ... not a good combination.

There should be furniture tie-down provisions along the edge of the room for chairs and such. Webbing straps with dog clips on the end clip to little folddown D rings.

    here's how rv's do it. -

Those vases with the layered colored sand won't last too long, though. The sand will need to be replaced often. Be sure and include sand sculpture experience in your job aps.
