I think the only thing "concrete" in both senses they have for now is an F-16 shelter on the former air force base Enschede Airport Twente.

Below the only six pictures they show that could be real, but they don't show a single real picture or video of one that's actually diving, so it's doubtful the current prototype is capable to do so and come up again. .

Perhaps you'd prefer the paint scheme of sister ship Yamal:

I was trying to estimate the height by counting the twists of smoke, and comparing the distance between twists with the diameter of the firework...

pretty difficult all the same, but perhaps 800 metres up?

Yes, - and I wonder if they followed the firework code?

Plan your firework display to make it safe and enjoyable.
Keep fireworks in a closed box and use them one at a time.
Read and follow the instructions on each firework using a torch if necessary.
Light the firework at arm's length with a taper and stand well back.
Keep naked flames, including cigarettes, away from fireworks.
Never return to a firework once it has been lit.
Don't put fireworks in pockets and never throw them.
Direct any rocket fireworks well away from spectators.

The shape of the original and new canoe subs are remarkably similar...

Yes, this is what they say about it on their heritage page . . .
However, seeing the nature of the three current jobs of Ortega's CEO, and the lack of a displayed actually diving prototype, I don't exclude Ortega Submersibles is one of his art projects . . . ? ? ?

Tip: Click below pictures in the last above link, they are really nice projects, like most of them . . . :)
Funny thing is that Google Maps still has erased the former F-16 shelters they say to work from, and Bing Maps displays them . . .

    It seems they don't live long . . . :(

About the canoe subs, another thing that doesn't seem to match with reality is that they give only one estimated range and speed for both surface and submersed mode. I think surface mode must score much better as submersed on both range and speed . .

See: Ortega Submersibles --> Models, see also de PDF's at the bottom of the page.

Another thing, could anyone help me with my understanding of English please, should I above have written 2 x ‘‘submerged’’ or ‘‘submersed’’ and what's the difference . . ? ?

When a buoy's anchor chain fails...

A good reason to swap over to nylon webbing for buoy anchors.

Chain wears it's links with every wave. A storm resulted in this funny occurrence.

    Luckily the outboard didn't submerge . . .

P.S. - Hmmm, at least in the picture, don't know how high the water was . .

I still find this staggering - the error in the first place, and the scale of the consequences!

It appears that doing dumb things with excavators is a popular pastime.
