The boat seems to have very little dugout, why doesn't she capsize with such a high placed load . . ? ?

It seems too shallow there for a deep ballasted keel which also was not in vogue for such a boat I think . . .

Could be. Are the three middle bowmen standing in the water? If so it was very shallow . . .

 

Most obvious clue is the second woman sitting. The water is a little more than ankle deep.

The model was delivered to the company office in damaged shape. Must have made a rough passage across the Pacific. I was able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Well sort of anyway.

 

Thats a shame lovely looking model .....
